Unbelievably dodgy. Well done to the honest Councillors who were brave enough to speak out.
Tricks included, donor developers buying protected land (not zoned for development) and then the land is rezoned, instantly increasing the land value enormously.
Political donations must be stopped at all levels of Government. Perhaps only Australian citizens on the electoral role should be allowed to make a political donations? Then each elector should only be allowed to spend a total of $1,000 per year to each tier of Government?
